See our Social Action Page for opportunities to help others right now. Fight food insecurity, donate blood, or support socially isolated adults in person or remotely.
SSH and Family Table Donations
While we are not able to volunteer in person, the temple is continuing our commitment to JF&CS Family Table and Father Bill's & Mainspring Shelter. Passover begins at sundown on March 27. While many of us are considering Zoom Seders, Family Table's clients are not sure they will be able to have the items they will need to mark the holiday. Over the years, we have sold matzah in the Temple Beth David entry and collected monetary donations from families as they come and go from Shorashim. We have gratefully accepted donations of matzah piled high in the temple lobby. This year, we are asking you to go to Family Table'sAmazon wish listto order matzah to insure that everyone can participate in this important rite of our people. Please do it now, so there are enough boxes of matzah available for distribution in early to mid-March. Thank you!
