Adult Learning Class with Batya Ellinoy "Exploring the Meaning of Pharaoh's Hardened Heart" Tuesday, January 26, 7:00-8:00 pm
As we begin the book of Exodus, join rabbinic and education intern Batya Ellinoy for this one-time class! Explore and discuss classical and contemporary commentary on ways to understand what it means when the Torah speaks of the hardening of Pharaoh's heart. We'll consider human response today, what it looks like to respond with mercy, and ultimately how to strengthen our own hearts. All are welcome.
Teen Mental Health Program for Parents
Thanks to a generous grant from the Ruderman Synagogue Inclusion Program and the Temple's Inclusion Committee, we are pleased to welcome a special speaker on teen mental health. Ari Comart, therapist and social worker, will present a workship, "Coping and Connecting During Covid"forparentsof teens on January 28, 7:30-8:30 pm. See separate email for Zoom link. Happy 60th Anniversary to TBD!
As part of the celebration of the Temple’s 60th Anniversary, students in a Double Chai teen elective interviewed four long-time temple families. In two special videos, these congregants speak about the sense of love and community that they feel as temple members, and tell the story of how the destruction of the previous temple building in 1987 nevertheless brought hope to the temple community as they began to build the current building on Clapboardtree St.Click here to see our temple's history.

SSH and Family Table Donations
While we are not able to volunteer in person, the temple is continuing our commitment to JF&CS Family Table and Father Bill's & Mainspring Shelter.The Social Action Committee is asking the Grade 5 class and the Brotherhood to lead our collection of items for Family Table and Father Bill's January 11 through February 15. Family Table - Canned salmon and Whole grain pasta Father Bill's - Travel size toiletries and breakfast foods Please bring items to the boxes in the school lobby. Thank you for your ongoing support!
