We hope you are managing to have a good winter break and some quieter days. Looking ahead to next week, the Temple's Reopening Task Force has recommended that we delay the start of our in-person education programs in order to allow time following winter break activities and for kids to settle back into school. Therefore, please see our adjusted schedule and some additional opportunities for the start of 2021 below.
Wishing you and your families a healthy 2021 and better times ahead! We look forward to seeing you again soon. Rabbi Karen and Rabbi Micah

Shorashim Family Shabbat Experience Friday, January 8, 6:00 p.m.
The past few years we have experienced wonderful Shabbat dinners and services together at temple! While these communal experience are limited right now, we still recognize the value of coming together on Shabbat, even from a distance. It is especially important for Hebrew students to have the opportunity to listen to and participate in the Shabbat prayers.
This Shabbat evening, we will join through Zoom or Livestream for a very family-friendly Shabbat service with opportunities for kids to participate according to their comfort level - more details to come. Get comfortable at home and all ages can join in! Siddurim (prayer books) are available for pick up at the temple Tuesday or Wednesday.
It is also "Shabbat Shemot - the Sabbath of Names" based on the week's Torah portion. If your child has not yet received a Hebrew name and would like to, please be in touch with the rabbis ASAP - we would be glad to help you and give you a special naming certificate!
Lastly, you are welcome to join other Shorashim families for Shabbat dinner if you would like after (or before) the service! Please sign-up by Jan. 5 and we will match you. We'll give you a few resources to enjoy your Shabbat dinner together! Zoom Shabbat Dinner Sign Up
