Shorashim Family Shabbat Experience @ Home Friday, January 8, 6:00 p.m.
All are welcome to celebrate Shabbat together. You can participate in this family-friendly service through Livestream or Zoom. Grab some challah, get comfortable at home, we welcome seeing you! On this "Shabbat Shemot - Sabbath of Names," let us know today if you would like to receive a Hebrew name. A January Birthday Blessing will also be offered. It is especially important for Hebrew students to hear and practice the prayers. See the links below to join. You're welcome to stay on after the service to greet one another during the "Zoom Oneg." Especially during this difficult time in our country, our prayers will affirm our values of unity and peace.
Please let the rabbis know if you would like to help lead a prayer as a family, or especially 4th-6th grade students. K-3 students are encouraged to write or illustrate a picture showing something they like about Shabbat or a question about Shabbat (pj's are fine for young kids during the service!)
Siddurim (prayer books) are available for pick up at the temple - let us know if you want to come by.
Sunday, January 10 - No K-6 Shorashim There will be a special professional development meeting for teachers with Gateways, a local Jewish education organization committed to inclusion.
January 12/13 - All in person and remote sessions resume
