Beginning in late October on Sunday mornings, Ikkarim (Values) is a 10 week journey for parents of children from birth to age 12 to explore core values that can strengthen your family and to learn with expert instructors who understand your concerns as parents.
Past participants have said, "Ikkarim enabled me to slow down and think about how I want to raise my child"
and
“Our discussions afforded me a view into other parents' lives - I wasn't alone in searching for answers to my kid's questions."

Beginning in January, Parenting Your Jewish Teen...Through a Jewish Lens, will be offered on Wednesday evenings. The practical and emotional challenges of raising a teen in today's world often seem overwhelming. This eight-session program enables parents to address these challenges with an expert facilitator and empowers parents of teens to embrace their changing roles, navigate murky waters and enjoy (!) their adolescents' journey to adulthood. The course offers a unique opportunity to embark on a journey of Jewish learning in the company of peers, guided by some of the finest teachers and scholars in the field of Jewish studies.

Temple Beth David's Adult Education Committee and the Meah Gimel Task Force is delighted to report that we have a full Me'ah Class for 5771-5772 (2010-2012). We have dubbed this class "Meah Gimel" in recognition of the fact that this is the third time our congregation has offered this marvelous program.  The class consists mostly of congregants who are taking Meah for the first time, along with congregants who were members of Meah Aleph or Bet, and also some folks who are not members but are glad to take the course at Temple Beth David.
