Spotlight Community Players

After a brief hiatus, TBD’s own theater group, the Spotlight Community Players, is proud to announce the upcoming opening of their production of Wendy Wasserstein’s final show, “An American Daughter,” directed by Kerri Cooper, produced by Lucinda Davis, and starring Roseli Weiss. For tickets, contact Jeff Greenwald. This show highlights the barriers faced by an intelligent, accomplished, dedicated, and progressive woman as she attempts to challenge the petty, patronizing, and minimizing world of politics. Wasserstein’s final play, its provocative script is sadly as relevant today as it was at the time of its production in 1996, when it opened with Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore.

This year’s production will take place at the theater at:
Newbridge on the Charles
45 West St, Dedham, MA

Thursday, March 20th at 7:30pm;
Saturday, March 22nd at 7:30pm;
Sunday, March 23rd at 3pm.

Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children under 16. Due to adult language and content, this play is not recommended for children under 13.
