Introduction to Judaism – New Class Starting Soon

Are you interested in learning more about Judaism? Please join us for a new South Area Introduction to Judaism course. This is an engaging multi-session course for anyone interested in exploring Jewish life through a Reform lens. The class is open to all including interfaith couples. Topics include:

  • Jewish holidays,
  • life cycle,
  • theology and core beliefs,
  • prayer,
  • the Bible and other sacred texts,
  • history,
  • anti-semitism and the Holocaust,
  • Zionism and Israel,
  • the American Jewish experience,
  • and the tapestry of the Jewish people today.

The course will be taught by Reform rabbis including Rabbi Karen and Rabbi Micah Citrin. Temple Beth David is a host site. Sessions will span December 8, 2019 through April 12, 2020 on Sundays.
