Family Table

Tikun olam doesn’t get a summer vacation!  Drop off low sugar canned fruit and peanut butter at the Temple to help us meet our goals!

Jewish Family & Children’s Service’s Family Table runs all year long, providing food help for families in need and Temple Beth David has been a faithful and long term supporter of these efforts. We need your help. TBD continues to run its food collection process with baskets near the Sanctuary and the religious school entrance foyer where we hope to collect cans of low sugar (preferably) fruit and peanut butter – though other food items are accepted. We have been asked by JF&CS to provide 30 cans of fruit and 30 jars of peanut butter (our assigned product) each month. Most months we have far exceeded that due to the generosity (and impressive memory) of very faithful donors. Indeed many of our children’s classes have been instrumental in keeping this form of tzedakah alive. Now, in the summer months, we must redouble our efforts to remember to pick up a few extra items at the grocery store and drop them by the Temple to ensure everyone has the food they need throughout the summer.
