Youth Groups

A message from Hannah Cohn, Youth Group Advisor:

NAWDTY (Norwood and Westwood, Dedham Temple Youth – and many other towns!) is open to any Temple members in grades 8-12.  NAWDTY is a great way for teens at Temple to have fun, make friends and connect with NFTY, the North American Federation of Temple Youth. I’m hoping that you will encourage your teens to come check out youth group!  It is a great way to connect with area Jewish youth (some of my fondest memories are of going to regional NFTY events), to learn about tikkun olam/repairing the world, and a great way for kids to get community service hours (especially if they need it for school or other extracurricular activities!)

NAWDTY is Temple Beth David’s youth group focusing on meaningful and exciting events for teens. We have our own lounge at the temple with comfy couches, a tv, video games, and more. We also attend regional events that bring together hundreds of Jewish teens from across New England. In the past we have gone skiing in New Hampshire, gone to a regional weekend retreat with 300 teens, dances, and to week long camps at Camp Eisner. For more information about regional events, please check the NFTY-NE website.

Double Chai credit is available for NAWDTY participation. See Rabbi Micah Citrin for more information.
